…You owe it to everyone you love (including yourself) to find pockets of tranquility in your busy world…
Ameena – Founder of Tranquility Therapy.
I have been practising as a massage therapist since 2009. I am strongly driven by a passion to serve people from all walks of life and to instill in people that health is not a commodity for only the rich, but that we should all own the right to take care of ourselves and have access to services that compliment our health and well-being.
My passion for health and well being stems from the belief that feeling good about yourself is not a luxury, it’s an absolute necessity!
Our mental, emotional, and physical health should not come with a ‘BIG PRICE TAG’ on it. It is the social responsibility of us all to do what we can for each other; to be generous with our skills, time and energy in order to prosper as a healthy community. I feel blessed with the opportunity to make a change in peoples lives and am driven by the ability to offer my skills and practice to help relieve the suffering of stress, anxiety, depression, aches, pains and tension to name but a few. Through my work as a complementary therapist I am able to contribute to the healing of society; through the body, mind, and soul.
“For everyone well-being is a journey..the secret is committing to that journey and taking those first steps with hope and belief in yourself!”
I offer a range of holistic therapies that use ancient healing techniques that aim to de-stress, relax and invigorate your mind, body and soul. This is achieved through the manipulation of tissues and muscles using various strokes, techniques and a variety of pure essential oils. Holistic therapy provides; both physical and mental benefits which include:
- Elimination of toxins through lymphatic drainage
- Reduces stress and calms the nervous system
- Improves skin and muscle tone
- Reduces overall stress & anxiety
- Increases energy levels
- Increases mental clarity
- Alleviates muscular tension & stiffness
- Increases mobility, flexibility & posture
- Encourages better circulation
- Encourages deeper & more efficient breathing
- Boosts the immune system
- Balances the digestive system
- Promotes general relaxation
- Improves sleep pattern
In order to provide the above, I believe in offering a very engaging consultation whereby I can listen with clarity to my clients and provide the essentials for their own personal needs. This approach has become part of my practice which has been developed from a broad range of training and working practices.
I have been working in a community setting particularly in the health and well being field since 2005 This has enabled me to promote preventative care and well being with a means to enabling others to take control of their lives and achieve a more positive lifestyle.
I have also been committed to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) training where I have developed an understanding of how stimuli is absorbed through the senses, internalised through our mental processes, and arrives at our every day consciousness; a powerful catalyst for change and performance improvement.
At most this has given me a wonderful opportunity to open my heart to those who wish to better themselves, and strive forward to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is through my work that I noticed many women were not accessing therapy services either due to cost implications or cultural reasons. With this in mind, I decided to set up my own therapy service where I can whole heartedly reach out and touch the lives of many others.
We owe it to ourselves to find pockets of tranquility in our busy worlds!
